SDK Day School
This unique 12-week program is designed to educate students while creating a experience similar to a human school day. Students are dropped off and picked up on scheduled school days. OPEN HOUSE - Before each session begins, parents are required to attend an Open House. This is your opportunity to meet the teachers, tour the classroom, and receive a parent packet containing the curriculum, student expectations, and important dates. Day School runs Monday–Thursday.
The School Day
The classroom is located in the Day School Building east of the Boarding/Daycare facility at SDK South. Students may be dropped off 7:30 - 9 AM. Throughout the day, students receive individual training sessions, group lessons, and opportunities to practice and advance through a structured curriculum. Just like human students, every dog progresses at their own pace. The goal by the end of the session is for students to meet the requirements for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing. We have a scheduled lunch/recess period, so don’t forget to pack your student’s lunch if needed. All students will receive an SDK lunch box. School dismissal is at 4:30 PM, with pickup required by 5:30 PM.
Tuition and Erollment
Only a limited number of students will be accepted per session. There will be 2 sessions per year. Mid-session enrollment will not be allowed. All students must begin together. No refunds for drop-outs. To enroll, create an account and request “Day School” under group classes.
